Premier Drive lesson SCHEDULING

Once GLDA has activated the student's learners permit on Schedule2 Drive, the premier drive lesson scheduling service contract has been submitted & payment for the scheduling service has been received the student’s 2-hour driving lessons will be scheduled based on student & instructor availability, GLDA black-out dates & other factors that help to shape the GLDA schedule. 

When the GLDA office staff begins to build the student's schedule, the first lesson will be a minimum of 5 weeks from the receipt service contract & payment for the scheduling service, then subsequent drive lessons will be scheduled a minimum of 4-6 weeks apart, with the contract deadline set at 4 weeks following the final scheduled lesson or the original contract deadline will remain in place, whichever deadline is more beneficial to the student. 

The cost of the premier scheduling service is $350 for the 7 drive & 7 observations lessons. If fewer than 7 lessons are requested to be scheduled, the lessons will be scheduled on a pro-rated rate.  

GLDA  SUGGESTS THAT PARENTS ALLOW 6-8 MONTHS TO COMPLETE THE BEHIND-THE-WHEEL  PORTION OF THE COURSE WITH GLDA INSTRUCTORS, ONCE THE STUDENT LEARNER'S  PERMIT HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY GLDA OFFICE STAFF.

2. Provide information about your student’s general schedule availability. 
3. Once the GLDA Office Staff receives the submission & payment, a schedule will  be generated for review and approval. 
4. Any adjustments needed will be  made before putting the final schedule on the Schedule2drive system.

Additional information: This is not customized scheduling.  Parents will indicate days and/or times where the student is NOT available to drive.  GLDA staff members will schedule 2-hour driving lessons  based on student & instructor availability, GLDA black-out dates & other factors that help to shape the GLDA schedule.   

Please remember to include dates for vacations, holidays and days the student will be out of town or otherwise unavailable.

• Continue to practice with your student and log in the parent practice log hours into Schedule Drive. Texas  Law requires that Parents of designated adult(s) drive & document a  minimum of 30 hours of practice (a minimum of 10 of the 30 hours at  night).  Up to one hour PER DAY can be documented in the log.
• Once final parent approval is made & schedule is added to the Schedule2Drive system, payment for any driving fees assessed for no shows, late  cancellations, no permit or corrective lenses will be the responsibility  of the parent or student. The final completion certificate will not be  issued until all fees have been paid in full.  

NOTE:   If you have to cancel late due to illness or any other family  emergency, you will not be charged the fee, but please notify the GLDA  office staff, soon as possible to allow for scheduling of another  student. 

Once the contract is submitted and fees paid -

 NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR THE PREMIER DRIVE LESSON SCHEDULING SERVICE.
